Chimps and Apes
Anthropologists believe that the earliest humans, called hominids, evolved in Africa, and that they originated from monkeys and apes, with their closest relative being chimpanzees (it has been proven that humans share 99% of their DNA with chimpanzees). Eventually, the early humans, such as Orrorin tugenensis and Australopithecus afarensis, started to evolve separately and homo sapiens began to evolve.
Human Traits
According to scientific evidence, early man evolved to walk on two legs - also called bipedalism - over 4 million years ago. Bipedalism is one of the oldest human traits. Early humans develop a large and complex brain, which gave them the ability to make and use tools, and allowed them to develop language
